HRV & Holistic Intelligence™ Assessment

An Additional Layer of Data for Personalized Wellness Care

At Dr. Mariana Bubucea’s Wellness Center, personalized care is built around understanding the individual—not simply treating isolated symptoms or relying on a single laboratory value.

During comprehensive wellness consultations, Dr. Bubucea may evaluate multiple layers of health data, including hormone levels, metabolic markers, genetics, body composition, medical history, symptoms, lifestyle patterns, nutrition, sleep, and other advanced testing when appropriate.

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) can provide an additional layer of physiological information.

When HRV data is available, Dr. Bubucea may incorporate these findings into the broader wellness evaluation to better understand how a patient’s nervous system is responding to stress, recovery, sleep, physical demands, and lifestyle.

HRV is not used as a stand-alone diagnosis or treatment tool. It is one more source of information that can contribute to a deeper and more personalized understanding of the patient.

What Is Heart Rate Variability (HRV)?

Heart Rate Variability, or HRV, is the natural variation in time between one heartbeat and the next.

Although we often think of the heart as beating at a steady rhythm, a healthy heart does not function like a metronome.

For example, even when your heart rate is 60 beats per minute, the time between individual heartbeats is not exactly one second every time. These small variations are influenced in part by the autonomic nervous system—the system that helps regulate many automatic functions of the body, including heart rate, breathing, digestion, stress responses, and recovery.

HRV gives us a window into how the body is regulating and adapting.

It can be influenced by many factors, including:

Sleep and recovery

Physical activity

Emotional and psychological stress

Illness

Hormonal changes

Breathing patterns

Alcohol

Certain medications

Nutrition and metabolic health

Workload and environmental demands

Because HRV is highly individual, it should not be interpreted simply as “high is good” or “low is bad.”

The pattern, the individual baseline, and the broader health context all matter

Why Include HRV in a Wellness Evaluation?

A laboratory test may tell us about hormones, glucose regulation, inflammation, nutrient status, or other aspects of physiology.
Genetic testing may provide information about inherited biological tendencies.
DEXA scanning can provide insight into body composition and bone health.
HRV contributes something different: information about physiological regulation, adaptation, and recovery.

When considered alongside other health data, HRV may help provide additional context around:

Autonomic nervous system regulation
Physiological stress load
Recovery patterns
Resilience and adaptability
Sleep and restoration
Response to physical activity
Effects of sustained lifestyle demands
Changes that may occur during hormonal transitions
Overall patterns of physiological strain and recovery

This information does not replace laboratory testing, genetic testing, imaging, or medical evaluation.

Instead, it adds another dimension to the patient’s overall wellness profile.

What Is the Holistic Intelligence™ Assessment?

The Holistic Intelligence™ Assessment is an educational, data-informed HRV interpretation developed by Elizaveta Kutis, MD.
It was created to make complex HRV and physiological rhythm data easier to understand and more meaningful in the context of real life.
Most HRV devices can generate numbers, graphs, and scores.
The Holistic Intelligence™ approach focuses on the next question:

What can these patterns teach us about the way your body is currently responding to stress, activity, recovery, and lifestyle demands?

At the core of the assessment is Human Architecture™, an interpretive framework developed by Elizaveta Kutis, MD to organize physiological patterns into a structured educational model of regulation, adaptation, strain, and recovery.

Think of it as an educational reading of your HRV.

Instead of receiving only a number or generic stress score, the patient receives a structured explanation of the physiological patterns identified in the data.

How Dr. Bubucea May Use HRV Information

Dr. Bubucea’s wellness consultations are comprehensive and are not based on HRV alone.

Depending on the patient’s needs, her evaluation may incorporate:
Comprehensive laboratory testing
Hormonal evaluation
Genetic testing
Metabolic health markers
Nutritional status
DEXA body composition and bone density
Medical and reproductive history
Sleep and lifestyle patterns
Exercise and recovery
Current symptoms and health goals
Additional functional or diagnostic testing when appropriate

When a Holistic Intelligence™ HRV Assessment is available, Dr. Bubucea can also consider this physiological information as part of the broader picture.

For example, HRV findings may provide useful context when discussing sleep, stress regulation, physical recovery, exercise tolerance, lifestyle demands, or patterns of autonomic regulation.

This allows Dr. Bubucea to integrate clinical information, laboratory data, genetics, lifestyle, and physiological regulation when developing a highly individualized wellness strategy.

More Data. Better Context. Deeper Personalization.

No single test can explain the complexity of human health.

A hormone level provides one piece of information.
Genetics provides another.
Body composition, laboratory markers, symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and physiological data each reveal something different.

The goal of personalized wellness care is to connect these pieces rather than evaluate them in isolation.

HRV adds information about how the body may be responding to its current demands.

Combined with Dr. Bubucea’s broader wellness evaluation, it can contribute to a more complete understanding of the individual and help support more precisely targeted wellness recommendations.

What You Receive From the Holistic Intelligence™ Assessment

The assessment translates HRV and rhythm-based physiological data into an educational report that may include:

Autonomic nervous system patterns
Stress and recovery patterns
Physiological adaptation
Functional resource and recovery patterns
Human Architecture™ interpretation
Lifestyle-related observations
Educational explanation of key findings
Areas that may deserve additional attention
The purpose of the report is not to diagnose disease.

It is designed to make physiological data understandable and to provide an additional source of information that may be considered within your broader wellness evaluation.

From Data to Personalized Care

Modern wellness medicine can generate an enormous amount of information.
Hormonal panels, metabolic testing, genetics, body composition, imaging, wearable technology, and physiological measurements can each provide valuable insights.
The challenge is not simply collecting more data.

The challenge is understanding how the data fits together.

At Dr. Mariana Bubucea’s Wellness Center, HRV may become one additional piece of that personalized health picture—helping connect physiological regulation with laboratory findings, genetics, hormonal health, lifestyle, and the patient’s individual goals.

About the Holistic Intelligence™ Method

The Holistic Intelligence™ Assessment and Human Architecture™ framework were developed by Elizaveta Kutis, MD as an educational interpretation system for HRV and physiological rhythm data.

The method is designed to translate complex physiological signals into clear, practical information that patients and healthcare professionals can use as an additional layer of wellness insight.

Important Medical Disclaimer

The Holistic Intelligence™ Assessment is an educational wellness tool.

HRV and HRV-derived patterns are not independently diagnostic of a specific medical condition and should not be used as a substitute for appropriate medical evaluation, laboratory testing, diagnosis, or treatment.

Dr. Bubucea considers HRV information, when appropriate, within the context of the patient’s broader medical and wellness evaluation.
